Vincent Dixon, 1ers pas en Chine

Our first stop in China was Kunming - the capital and largest city of Yunnan Province in Southwest China. Its importance derives from its position on the silk caravan roads through South East Asia, India and Tibet and settlements date here from 279BC. Twenty five ethnic minorities live in Yunnan province which is almost half of the ethnic minorities in China. The locals call it the city of eternal spring.

I took this picture the night we arrived in Kunming. Drinking beer and playing dice with friends on a hot evening, a great introduction to China.
